I wish I could take more photos at cool locations, but since I can’t drive due to my mental illness, I’m pretty limited in where I can shoot. It’s frustrating because I have so many ideas, but I have to work with what’s accessible to me. I know my Instagram aesthetic might not be the most exciting because of this, but I’m so thankful for all of you who still support and follow me. It truly means a lot!

I’m still figuring out the style and format for A Fashion Salads Instagram account. I originally thought about turning it into a quotes page, but now I’m thinking it needs something more. I’m experimenting and trying to find the right direction, so stick around and follow along—I’d love to have you there!

Thrifting was where I first started taking risks with color. A bright orange sweater here, a floral skirt there—pieces I wouldn’t have touched before suddenly felt interesting. The low stakes of thrifting make it easy to experiment without committing too much. Slowly, I began introducing color and pattern into my wardrobe. I realized that mixing colors and patterns wasn’t as intimidating as I thought. In fact, it was freeing. It's also a very affordable way to make changes to your wardrobe. If you feel stuck, give thrifting a try! It does require patience but it's the best way to invest in your wardrobe.
